Alan James is a corporate writer, interpretive writer, copywriter and communication manager based in Launceston, Tasmania.
Al works on projects ranging from interpretive signage to websites, annual reports to in-house magazines. He works with clients ranging from non-profits to universities, local government to SMEs. He regularly collaborates with other communication, creative and technical folk.
Al has worked for himself/freelance since the 1990s, trading as Al et al. Prior to this, his background was in radio and advertising copywriting and production.
Al is a former freelance contributor to ABC Radio National/Local Radio, producing social documentary and cultural program content. He also makes text-based artworks, examples of which are held in corporate and public collections, including the Cleveland Library, Queensland Museum and Redland Art Gallery.
